Nothing Really Mattress was a co-production with The Barn Theatre.

Bedrooms are mundane – and thrilling. We spend endless hours sleeping in a bedroom, sharing our consciousness with pleasant dreams and terrifying nightmares. We experience the blossoming of love, the immediacy of sex, and the destruction of relationships. We share secrets, laugh, cry, hope, and regret. No other room has such potential for drama and comedy, which is why playwrights have set many works behind a bedroom door.

The Borderline Theatre Group presented five short plays that took us into the bedroom for an evening of intimacy and laughter. Works by Bruce Kane, Joe Godfrey, Mark Scharf, Mark Broun, and Tom Kephart were included. We called the production “Nothing Really Mattress,” and it was produced at The Barn Theatre in Port Sanilac, Michigan, on June 30th, July 1st and July 2nd, 2016.
